SMALL-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) can export their products on Alibaba, the world’s biggest platforms for E-commerce, says a representative.
Alibaba New Zealand and Australia’s general manager Pier Smulder was in Lae recently for an information session with businesses to conduct export sales using the platform as a conduit to overseas customers.
“Five years from now, local SMEs trying to export their products on Alibaba.com will benefit from their online exports and imports from hundreds of businesses across the Pacific,” Smulder said.
He told the business-to-business and business-to-consumer sessions how to transform PNG exports through digital innovation.
Smulder told participants that Alibaba operated with a number of businesses in China and other countries and was well known for its businesses which operated in other countries.
