THE Port Moresby Soccer Association club meeting has resolved to pursue the ownership of the Bisini Soccer Oval land and the portion of the land at the Sir John Guise Stadium.

The meeting held at the Taurama Aquatic Centre conference room last Saturday resolved to have the PMSA executive to review the agreement between the association and the National Sports Trust Limited before taking the matter further.

Port Moresby soccer president John Wesley Gonguan said the PMSA was quietly doing its bit to join other sports such as the rugby union, the softball, netball and cricket to fight for their land.

“We have not forgotten all this as we want to work in partnership to ensure all sides benefit mutually with whatever arrangement they come up with,” Gonjuan said.

Other issues discussed included the PMSA technical committee headed by Jackson Ngahan to formulate a coaching manual for clubs and look at the PMSA organisation and the competition structure.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Rapatona, Inter University, PS United, Maclaren, Mungkas, Cosmos,PS Roots and Sea Eagles.

Gonjuan said the meeting agreed in principle to bring in the school soccer programme under its wing.

A technical committee will be set up and to develop a format which will be in line with PNG hosting the women’s Under-20 World Cup next year.

Gonjuan said the meeting discussed NSL club licensing system and how it would affect the PMSA clubs.

He said PMSA has agreed to revive the database of all clubs, players and coaches of who are registered with the association.

The meeting resolved to set up a Super League Cup committee to see the start of the competition on Sept 5.

Gonjuan said his technical committee would review and complete the Super League tournament handbook and prepare NSL contract templates for players and officials to consider.
