Soso buys students’ tickets

EASTERN Highlands Governor Julie Soso is supporting the return of students to the University of PNG by buying them airline tickets.
She presented them 140 airline tickets in front of the Yanepa provincial government building witnessed by parents, public servants and staff from Soso’s office.
Soso said her priority was to invest in human resource development.
She told parents and students that the amount of money spent on students in desperate need for help was a non-issue.
“You will be running this province and PNG tomorrow. You are our future,” Soso said.
She warned the students not to take alcohol nor get involved in activities which could spoil their education.
“Concentrate on your studies,” Soso said.
