Spiders set to debut in Tabubil tournament

The Spiders are set to make their debut in the Tabubil Soccer Association-sanctioned Mineral Resources Star Mountain (MRSM) Cup on Dec 19.
The Spiders are a team from Rumginae Mission Station along the Kiunga-Tabubil Highway.
“I am so excited to take the Spiders to Tabubil for the Dec 19 MRSM Cup,” president Bero Enick said.
“Our team being a non-member is required to pay K1700 affiliation and we will definitely work towards paying that before the tournament begins. We want to gain confidence from this exposure.”
Bero, who is also the treasurer, said the opportunity would pave the way to work closely with the Tabubil Soccer Association in the future commencing next year to strengthen the code of soccer in Western. “I want to be part of the team in promoting soccer in Western,” Enick said.
“My Rumginae Soccer Association executives and I will work closely with the Tabubil Soccer Association to move soccer forward in this province.”
