Stage set for Commander’s Cup finals

THE stage is set for the finals of the Commander’s Cup rugby tournament at the Murray Barracks Oval in Port Moresby today.
The top-eight teams go through to the finals. Tarangau Sharks and LRRU Troopers missed out on spots in the finals, however, both teams will play for the bowl today.
Goldie Warriors face 1RIPR Diggers, Igam Crocs take on HQPNGDF Chiefs and 2PIR Muruks do battle with Basilisk Marlins.
Moem Barracks Muruks, who finished third yesterday, face Port Moresby Naval Base Marlins.
Meanwhile, security firm Paladin, through its subsidiary company Black Swan International Papua New Guinea, donated a set of uniform to the PNG Defence Force (PNGDF) Support Battalion team.
Black Swan operations manager Clinton French presented the jerseys to commanding officer Lt-Col Kingsley Wawada and his team.
