Corporate 9s tourney kicks off at Bava Park

THE Sportz Event Corporate League Nines Cup kicks off at the Bava Park on Saturday.
Director Solomon Ravu said defending champions Funeral Homes were placed in Pool C and would start as favourites.
He said PNG Power White, National Sports Trust Limited, National Maritime Safety Authority, PricewaterhouseCoopers, BB Allies and Puma Energy were in Pool A. Bank of Papua New Guinea, Internal Revenue Commission, AES, PNG Power Blue, Nasfund, Spidertek, Bishops and National Capital District Commission make up Pool B.
Funeral Homes, Credit Corporation, Digicel PNG, DOF Kobles, Bank South Pacific, BB Crushers, KPMG and GFI are in Pool C.
“Some teams have expressed their interest but are on standby,” Ravu said.
“This competition encourages participants to exercise healthy living and maintain their fitness.”
