Still awaiting payments

THE PNG Teachers’ Association, Teachers Service Commission, Education Department and the Government are busy passing the buck around about everything that is going wrong with teacher’s benefits and the education system.
No one is talking about when public servants would be getting their 2020 CPI 3 per cent yearly entitlement payment.
No one is talking about fixing teachers’ salary problems and underpayment faced by teachers.
It is getting towards the end of the year and the Covid-19 pandemic is making a miraculous return to provinces.
When will the Government or the Teachers Service Commission wake up and release this lousy payment?
Teachers are human beings struggling to continue teaching and the Government is smart to ignore its responsibility to pay what it owes teachers.
Someone has to leave his or her comfortable sofa and walk the talk.
