Student gets into talent group

 YANSON Poro, a second-year bachelor of science in business management student in the Philippines, was inducted into Toastmasters International, a worldwide non-profit organisation with the purpose of helping members improve communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.

Toastmasters International, which is headquartered in the USA,  train their members with highly advanced  methods to help them improve several personal skills.

“I was motivated to join Toastmasters because it gives us the opportunity to become better speakers and leaders. It also boosts self-confidence which is very important while attending university,” Yanson said.

Poro was inducted by lawyer Nolie Espina, a distinguished Toastmaster in the Philippines who served as the District 75 Governor. District 75 Toastmasters serve 155 Toastmaster Clubs and 2,500 members in the Philippines.

Toastmasters’ serves all types of people of all skill levels who want to improve their public speaking and leadership skills with 292,000 members from 14,350 clubs in 122 countries.
