A YOUNG girl from Maur village on the east coast of Turubu, East Sepik, is set for any situation when she completes Grade 12 at Brandi Secondary School at the end of this year.

“Whether I continue on to another higher learning institution or I come back home at the end of the year is no problem.

“I am flexible and ready to accept any of these situations,” young Rachael Nari told The National at Maur village after receiving her certificate in project proposal and cash flow training last Friday.

“The training has enhanced my level of business knowledge from the applied natural resource management course we’re taking at the secondary school and I am prepared to come back home and start my own business if I do not get any offer to continue at the university or other tertiary institutions.”

Nari was among 29 Maur villagers who attended a one-week project proposal and cash flow training conducted by Sunset Development Corporation at the invitation of Turubu LLG president David Kausik.

Coming from a coastal village, Nari is interested in fishing and has already written a proposal to start a fishing business which will be edited and marketed for funding through the National Fisheries Authority or other donor agencies.
