Student unrests a real concern

EVERY year we hear of strikes by students in the secondary and tertiary institutions in Papua new Guinea. The reasons for the strikes relate to administration, finance, welfare, mismanagement and misconduct issues. In 2014 students PNG University of Technology went to strike to have their vice chancellor back and they succeeded. This year Polytech students in Lae went on strike over administration issues and the University of Goroka students did likewise over on the restructure issues. If the Government is spending more money on these students, it must ensure these problems are resolved immediately.
