Students need quality education

IT saddens me when I see our children these days graduating from tertiary institutions, secondary high schools, high schools and primary schools, who cannot speak good English and even write good English. The question is where did we go wrong?

Is it the quality of our teachers or children are not serious in their learning process nor the quality of education is not the right kind?

The current trend is that the quality of the work force now coming out from colleges and universities are threatening the work place, in a sense that they are not competent to face work place challenges.

I did my school days in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the prime days where education was good, and there was discipline in all the schools. You don’t have that kind of discipline in the schools today.

Just look at how our children behave in and out of school, it is indeed an attitude issue.

The Government may be putting its mouth into big things, however we must not forget the human beings, if they are not being fairly treated, they will rise up against the government, and I believe it is a matter of time. God help PNG
