OVER half of the 101 Grade eight students at Warangoi Primary School in Pomio district have successfully secured spaces in various high schools in East New Britain.

Head teacher Clement Kulavui said this last Wednesday during the school’s 13th Grade 8 graduation.

He gave credit to the Grade 8 teachers for the job well done which was reflected by the scores and 65 out of 101 being selected into various high schools in the province.

“Teachers have aggressively addressed the quality and standard issues of basic education and have done everything in their power to give our children the best,” he said.

“But again we cannot do it alone without parental support.”

He said the school has grown over the years providing opportunities for elementary schools to the resettlement areas of Kulungure, Rasti, Rumjungle, Warangoi 1 and 2, Laup and  Kadaulung.
