THE Port Moresby Suburban Rugby League kicks off its season at the end of the month.
Chairman Bosky Koke said an annual general meeting, which was supposed to be held on Feb 22 did not eventuate because of lack of quorum.
The meeting was deferred to next month.
“Out of the 16 clubs, there were only six who turned up at our AGM last month,” Koke said.
“We had no choice but to defer.”
He said because the league’s season was scheduled to start at the end of the month, he would allow the clubs to use Kone Tigers Oval for pre-season training over the next three weeks.
He said the league had axed three from 16 clubs last year and they are welcome to return if they could secure sponsorship.
Koke said the league had 13 sides in A grade but has three spots remains to be filled by interested clubs.
He said there were certain bids requirements the new clubs had to fulfil.
