Super contribution still unpaid

Letters

ALLOW me space to call on the national Government through the Treasurer and his department to bring up to date the State’s outstanding contribution to Nambawan Super.
It is only fair that this is done.
It is not fair that those who joined many decades ago but exited last year and this year have to wait another 12 months for their benefits to be paid by Treasury and the Department of Finance.
The government should put least use 10 per cent of the sovereign bond proceeds towards public servants’ superannuation.
It hurts to see public money wasted on unproductive activities while those of us who have sacrificed to serve the interest of the country are left in debt because the Government has not paid its share of our superannuation.
