Superannuation members receive double discounts

BRIAN Bell Homecentre in Gordon, Port Moresby, is conducting its longest ever double discount promotion for Nambawan Super and Nasfund members reducing prices by 30 per cent, chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says.
Mackellar told The National that the promotion began last month and was extended to this month because of the good turnout from customers since the sale began.
He said the 30 per cent discount was an increase from 15 per cent which super fund members normally paid when shopping at Brian Bell shops.
“The Double Discount promotion has been running since Aug 12 but because it has been going so well we have decided to keep it running right through to Sept 8,” he said.
“This is the longest that this particular promotion has ever run but we are delighted with how it’s been received by all members from both organisations.
“Normally, the Nasfund and Nambawan super members enjoy a very healthy discount at our stores to the tune of 15 per cent.
“At special times of the year, we like to reward that loyalty and all those shoppers with an even greater discount, which essentially doubles their discount to 30 per cent. This is massive for them and for us.
“The Double Discount promotion is a major event for us which has now taken place over the past two year with increasing success.
“It seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year for us and other member organisations are also asking to join in.” Mackellar said both super funds have a huge customer base right around the country and they have always been strong supporters of Brian Bell.
“As a retailer, we love running promotions because we know Nasfund and Nambawan have such a large membership base,” he said.
“It’s a no brainier for us to try and reward and entice them all to our stores.
“Both Nasfund and Nambawan has been great supporter of this promotion for the last couple of years and we’re set to continue with it.”
