Supporting call to probe TFF funds

I SUPPORT the call by Education secretary Dr Uke Kombra to investigate alleged misuse of the tuition-fee free funds by the Government.
Starting the investigations with Menyamya Secondary School is a welcoming news for the Morobe education board and the people of Aseki/Menyamya.
The school has been operating on a dinau basis with local stakeholders and business houses since it got its secondary school status.
The school has not progressed in terms of infrastructure and academically.
Conduct a thorough investigation and hold those responsible accountable.

  • A valid comment,most schools are not putting money into students learning or to improve their learning in their schools.Some schools concentrate more on infrastructure without any evidences of new infrastructures build to cater for students learning.A classic example is Dregerhafen Secondary School in Finschhafen Morobe Province.This school gets the biggest subsidy but has outstanding debts and faces power cuts during Christmas period to New Year of every year leaving the institution in complete darkness.
