THE International Education Agency (IEA) College of Technical and Further Education (Tafe) has reported a record enrolment for this year at its Port Moresby and Lae campuses, according to manager Dr William Pedley.
Pedley said the college had surpassed the previous record of 500-student enrolment of semester one in 2022 by more than 50 students.
In a statement, he said: “In addition, we are excited to see our new online department experiencing a surge in student registrations.
“The IEA’s close relationship with businesses is at the heart of our success.
“Not only does the IEA College of Tafe provide in-house-tailored training to companies in the areas of train-the-trainer, occupational health and safety, first aid, and leadership and management, but the college also offers employees the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications and improve their expertise,” Pedley said.
“The IEA College of Tafe has ambitious standards for student performance.
“In addition, our support for student learning and progress means that anyone wishing to gain effective and respected qualifications in business, sales and marketing, accountancy, information technology and early childhood education and care should choose the IEA College of Tafe.
“Further, IEA Tafe student graduates require initial work experience with businesses to ensure competency in their chosen field.
“Scholarships and awards are also available,” he said.
The IEA College of Tafe was currently benefiting from the PNG Swire Group’s Taikoo scholarships and LJ Hooker scholarships.
