CHRISTMAS has come early for Grade 3 teacher Holisa Kindo who won K35,000 in the Bank of South Pacific Green Gold promotion.
Kindo won by using her BSP KunduCard to buy groceries at a supermarket in Lae, Morobe province.
Kindo spent less than K50 and reaped the huge windfall when she was drawn as the October major prizewinner in BSP’s Green Gold promotion.
Other winners for October received K10,000 (five), K1,000 (20) and K500 (75) respectively.
Kindo was lost for words when told of her win.
“I am lost for words, and thankful to BSP for giving back to customers in such a worthy way. This win is life-changing as I have never had such a windfall,” she said.
Kindo is from Ambunti in East Sepik and is a teacher at a primary school in Salamaua, Morobe.
BSP Lae branch manager Mary Kundi said the bank had shown a real understanding and care for the community by giving back to customers and communities in many ways.
“The Green Gold promotion is just one of the many ways BSP gives back to customers and the community and we are delighted to help contribute to a better life,” she said.
The promotion started in July and, since then, more than 400 customers had been rewarded.
For this month, K40,000 will be drawn as the major prize with supplementary winners receiving K10,000 (five winners), K1,000 (20) and K500 (76).
Next month, only one lucky BSP customer will win K250,000.
BSP head of marketing Julie Fraser said customers must continue using their KunduCards at ATM or Eftpos machines to be randomly selected.
“The more transactions a customers makes using his or her KunduCard at a BSP ATM or Eftpos, the more chances there is to win big,” she said.
