Kemish: Aust supports PNG well

AUSTRALIA supports education in Papua New Guinea as a priority agenda of development.
Australian High Commissioner Ian Kemish says whether it is in delivering grants, building of infrastructure or awarding study scholarships, Australia supports PNG with direct education opportunities.
Recently, 10 Papua New Guineans were awarded the prestigious Australian Leadership Awards scholarship.
They are Dr Arthur Elijah (Public Health), Tabian Ambang (Health sciences), Janet Rangou (Higher Education), Terrence Simbiwen (Sustainable catchment Planning and Management), Esther Pelly (Nursing and Midwifery), Hitelai Polume-Kiele (Natural Resources Law), Biatus Bito (Tropical Ecology and Conservation), Mary Kairu Warus (Communication), Mary Magabe (Midwifery) and Naomi Yupae (International Community Development). 
They are attached to different universities. 
Elijah and Magabe were awarded the Allison Sudjarat Award. 
Also recognised was the former president of Autonomous Region of Bougainville James Tanis who received the Australian High Commissioner’s Education award.
