Teachers get training

TEACHERS from the Maino Heduru Catholic Vocational Centre received training and information on technical and vocational education training (TVET) inspections and curriculum during the teacher’s in-service last week.
The centre requested the Education department’s TVET division to conduct in-service training at because there were new teachers who needed clarification in areas of TVET inspections and curriculum.
The training was a refresher for the long-serving teachers who had been teaching for more than 10 years and needed to update their methods and practices.
Officers from the TVET Inspections, Quality Assurance and TVET Curriculum divisions presented vital information on new curriculums and clarified issues teachers had about the role of TVET inspectors.
