Teachers’ pay rise queried

I was attracted by the headline in The National ‘Teachers Pay Rise’.
Papua New Guinea and other countries have seen the heading and read the content. What a high profile commitment that melted and penetrated the heart and mind of all the teachers.
Those teachers whose families are working and studying abroad may also have the same feeling.
My concern is after being so convinced by those decorative and attractive messages from those responsible authorities, when will they keep their commitment?
Teachers have been used as an object to build this nation without proper care.
For me, the headline is just another same old story.
Nothing to gain because nothing has been done in the past years after seeing similar headings in the media.
Teachers don’t be fools.
You are an asset to this nation and you are not a liability.
Those responsible authorities can utilise you like any other ordinary object.
Open your mouth and ask when they are going to keep their commitments.
