Team calls for athletes

ENGA’s provincial athletics association official Allen Pindao is calling on all schools in the province to participate in a provincial athletics championship to be held soon. 

The aim of the championship is to prepare athletes for the national athletics championships in Kokopo, East New Britain, from July 12-14.

The provincial athletics championships will be held at Wapanamanda Primary School next month at a date yet to be confirmed.

Pindao, who managed the Enga provincial team to the Highlands regional athletics championship in Goroka, Eastern Highlands, over the weekend made the call during the championships.

He said hidden talents and skills to win gold for the province were still out there, and they should be exposed at championships to identify and develop them.
