Students should use their knowledge and skills in new technology to become good leaders, says a school principal.
Sivalinga Prasad Guruprasad, principal of Kopkop College in Port Moresby, said students of this generation were born into the time of computers, internet and social media.
“They are naturally equipped and with the technology and internet they can use to promote good leadership ideas,” Guruprasad said.
“All they need to do is to realise their potential and have a purposeful dream and pursue it.
“This will make them better leaders.”
“We train our students to be leaders from day one where they take responsibility for the activities and provide opportunities to lead.
“By the time they finish the year, they are already comfortable with many leadership skills, including teamwork, professionalism, creativity, positivity and so on.”
