Teen helps Moore Printing beat Westpac in netball

FIFTEEN-year-old Clara Scott helped Moore Printing beat Westpac 18-13 in the Private Companies Netball Competition premier division at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex in Port Moresby on Sunday.
The match was tough in the first half with both teams looking to gain the upper hand.
But Scott, who found her footing early, led her group to score eight points and Louise Maliaki added another two in the first half.
Westpac’s Elina Ripason scored six goals with several of her attempts going astray to give more Moore Printing the upper hand. Moore Printing led10-6 at half-time.
After half-time, silky hands saw both teams find their shooters at key moments of the match.
Maliaki and Neritha Adula tightened the Moore Printing defence to deny Westpac from scoring.
Westpac’s Violet Banian and Elina Ripason tried their best in defence Scott was on target to help Moore Printing run out victors.
In the other matches, QBE Doves beat Proclean 16-8 and Air Niugini defeated Kina Bank 18-17 while Bank South Pacific were on a bye.
