Teenagers and PNG

Letters

SOME people in key political leadership at all levels of government and bureaucracy do not realise to what extent teenagers have taken over today in this country.
They pretty well dominate the world picture.
God has always intended for children to be a blessing to their parents – like olive plants around the table and to the society.
However, in this day, youths are seen as being a burden to the country and local rural communities.
Instead of helping to build the nation and rural industries, our own offspring are destroying and tearing down social service centres.
We are now seeing the demise of all qualities of leadership at all levels: Vision, prudence, judgment, wisdom, honour and eloquence.
These qualities would be endangered today and roller-coasting to extinction.
Instead of preparing our children for the responsibilities of adulthood, adults are acting like children in their performance in high places.
We are allowing and integrating youth culture with our roles and responsibilities.
It’s the commercial media entertainment economy at work.
