DIGICEL PNG is gaining new heights to engage more with its customers, particularly the business community.

The mobile company organised a customer breakfast forum for Port Moresby based business houses on Wednesday to give an overview of its core business in communications.

The forum gave the opportunity for business houses to openly speak about the challenges faced and areas Digicel needed to improve in.

Digicel’s head of business sales and services Kevin Woolmer said it was all about interacting with customers and reflecting on what Digicel had done since its establishment in July 2007.

“No company in PNG has ever invited its customers to an open forum to ask questions.

“This is open and effective communication and a great way of both engaging with our customer and hearing the customer feedback.

“As a business we strive every day to improve both internally and the customer experience.”

“We value customer engagement to continue effective communication where possible,” Woolmer said.

He said since Digicel’s inception in 2007, investment in 2G and 3G broadband networks have been established and additional 3G towers and over 300 2G towers would be erected across the country this year.

Woolmer said by the end of July Port Moresby would have added to its current 4G|LTE network and further extending the service to the industrial capital, Lae.
