Telikom to retain name after deal

TELIKOM PNG and bmobile are currently in the process of merging and will soon undergo a name change to Telikom Ltd, as part of this merger process.
According to the company, this would be pursuant to a National Executive Council decision made in August 2019 (decision number NG38/2019) which declared that the two nationally-owned telecommunication providers would be merged into one entity.
Services offered by both Telikom PNG and bmobile will continue as normal.
The management and staff of both companies will also remain unchanged.
The name change will be reflected in billing information, letters, memorandums and agreements.
Current contracts and agreements will be transferred to the new entity.
