Telstars looking to improve in clash with Paramana

TELSTARS face Paramana in round nine of Port Moresby Netball Association premier grade competition at Rita Flynn indoor court tomorrow.
Telstars beat Mermaids 37-35 last weekend in a tough match.
Paramana, on the other hand, had a morale-boosting 48-36 win over Veupunama.
Despite last week’s win, Telstars coach Veitu Diro was not impressed with her side’s error count and said she would run her charges hard in trianing focusing on handling and concentration.
“We have been working on cutting down errors during training,” Diro said.
“The girls should now concentrate on getting the ball towards our shooters quickly.”
She said some of her players like shooter Boio Peter and midcourt Ataliah Kila were injured last week and were not guaranteed to take the court.
“We might rely on our reserve players in shooting and the midcourt.
“The reserve shooter will back up Eva Aua and Gamini Koroka,” she added. “The match is unpredictable because Paramana have many experience players so they cannot be underestimated,” Diro said.
Fixtures: Sat, Aug 4 – Premier Grade – Rebels v Raukele, Sparrows v Mermaids. Bye: Veupunama.
