Thank you, Namah

Letters

VANIMO Secondary School in West Sepik is very fortunate to have a committed patron in Vanimo-Green MP Belden Namah who constantly supports the school in many ways.
Namah was at the school last Tuesday to present a cheque of K450,000.
In a small but significant ceremony witnessed by the students, staff and the nearby communities, principal John Kanz received the cheque on behalf of his counterpart from Don Bosco Secondary School for two 30-seater coaster buses. In handing over the cheque, he said Vanimo Secondary School meant a lot to him since he was a pioneer student.
Namah said what he was doing was not because of politics, but rather, his firm belief in building future leaders.
However, critics and aspiring intending candidates are already questioning the timing, as the national general elections iares around the corner.
Critics have fabricated stories to tarnish Namah’s reputation.
There is no reason to argue when an MP assists schools or hospitals at any given time whether it’s close to election time or not.
Rather, the leader should be commended because our country needs a healthy and educated population, which is an important prerequisite for progress.
Namah’s kind deed is accepted wholeheartedly.
His contribution to the schools will be used to further the cause of building a healthy and educated people.
The common goal is to ensure that students receive proper and quality education.
In Vanimo Secondary School, we are interested in raising standards, setting benchmarks and making things happen and such support should not be politicised by a few self-centred individuals who lack the hindsight and foresight.
Thank you Namah for identifying and connecting one of the very crucial missing links and that is chronic transport deficiency.
