THE people of Eastern Highlands, especially Kainantu, acknowledge Mining Minister and local MP Johnson Tuke for bringing our Prime Minister James Marape to Kainantu.
Marape’s presence and those of other MPs including Eastern Highlands Governor Peter Numu has lightened up Kainantu town with laughter, joy and smiles.
Many people in the province have turned up to have a glimpse of our prime minister.
The visit has revived hope for much-needed services such as Kainantu mortuary building, road upgrade from Kainantu to Aiyura and Kainantu to Okapa road sealing.
Other investments include the K1 million donation towards Kainantu market rebuilding.
These improvements in services will help Kainantu and Eastern Highlands people better their lives.
A total of K59 Million was committed towards these projects.
The people appreciate that.
The weather was a bit harsh with rain and mud but Marape and others walked smiling and waving through a delightful audience.
The people of Kainantu will long remember this day.
