Thomas Eluh’s revelation

Letters

THOMAS Eluh’s revelation in the media has finally made the country aware of what has been the cause of all leadership tussles over governor and provincial administrator’s position in Southern Highlands.
It is about controlling the province’s money bag and squandering it to quell political demands and costs associated with the trappings of power in the country’s most expansive seat.
Eluh is a man who doesn’t mince words, when it comes to pointing out what is not right and what is right. He is old school.
As an anti-corruption warrior himself, he has been in the country’s forefront advocating good governance.
His appointment as provincial administrator to Southern Highlands late last year by the Government brought hope to many.
If Southern Highlands was a sovereign state, it would certainly fit the description of “a failed state where corruption has been a chronic norm and impunity its logical consequence”.
Thomas Eluh brought into the province a new trend of administration, hinging on values of good governance and discipline in public finance management.
