Tigers win Morata comp

COMMUNITY Hall Tigers beat M2 Mumuts 4-0 in the Morata Offseason Rugby League women’s final at the Kone Tigers Oval in Port Moresby on Saturday.
The Tigers are the new women’s champions of the league.
Mumuts protested against referee Wilson Saki and walked off with two minutes remaining.
President Samson Metofa awarded the match to Tigers as they were leading when the match was disrupted.
It did not come easy as Mumuts had to give their best efforts in the second half to win.
They walked away with K2,000 and National Capital District Commission Commissioner’s Cup while Mumuts settled for K100 and the runners-up trophy.
Both sides boasted players from the Port Moresby Rugby Football League competition.
