Time for Morobe governor to call it a day

I strongly support the letter by “Lutheran Pikinini” (The National, Nov 23) reminding Morobeans that the sacred word “songang” should only be used strictly in church and not in politics.
Morobe Governor Luther Wenge is fond of using this title but given what has happened over the past month, it is now time for him to seriously consider not seeking re-election next year.
He has had a good run in the past 15 years.
What Lae city and the province need now is a young, vibrant, creative, intelligent, visionary, down to earth and, most importantly, a God-fearing leader who will serve the people.
Morobe needs to really tap into the current resource boom in PNG and the related developments taking place in the province.
