Time for Sir Michael and Sir Paulias to retire

Letters, Main Stories

THE time is right for the golden oldies, long past their use by date, to call it a day.
Sir Michael Somare’s leadership in recent time is no different to that of Babylon’s King Nebuchadnezah – full of pride, arrogance, attacking justice and truth, power hungry, corrupted and calling his own people longlong.
It is time for him go home and take a well deserved rest.
Governor-General Sir Paulias Matane has done a good job.
I salute him for his contributions, especially in terms of literature, good speeches and his humility.
However, his principles have been severely compromised as he had remained quiet on the many cases of corruption that is destroying this country.
We need a GG who is radical, no nonsense, firm and dare to take the prime minister and ministers to task and hold them accountable.
It is time for young God-fearing leaders to bring this country forward and uphold righteousness, justice and truth.
