BUSINESS operations of the Teachers Savings and Loan Society Ltd (Tisa) has been scaled down with only essential staff working, says acting group chief executive officer Igumu Momo.
It followed one of its employees testing positive for the Covid-19 on March 4.
It also led to the locking down of Tisa Haus the same day.
Momo said Tisa immediately initiated its Covid-19 business continuity plan and emergency response after receiving information from Rita Flynn.
The measures included the locking down of the Tisa Haus and testing of all staff. All the results were negative and the building was decontaminated last Friday and Saturday.
“The building was opened for business on Monday,” Momo said.
“Tisa’s core business operation (Port Moresby branch) is located in another building.
“However, to ensure precautions are being taken, staff at the branch were tested.
“In line with our business continuity plan, business operations is continuing but under a scaled down operation with only essential staff allowed to come to office (Tisa Haus and Pom branch),” Momo said.
“All non-essential staff have been given a 14-day special leave.”
