GOROKA firm Toki Minge Security Services presented a set of rugby league apparel to a club from Mambu settlement in Eastern Highlands last Wednesday.
“Amid the unfavourable business conditions due to the Coronavirus, Toki Minge Security Services felt obliged to sponsor the Toki Minge rugby League club because we needed to fulfil a commitment to buy new gear for the side,” company managing director Cathy Agunam said.
She said since the company operated near Mambu Market, they wanted to support the club and be part of the community.
Agunam urged the club to look after the uniforms and play hard to make it into the Goroka Lahanis, SP Hunters and Papua New Guinea Kumuls.
Mambu Market community leader Charlie Bigi thanked company for the apparel.
“It’s a bonus to receive such sponsorship from Toki Minge Security Services, given the pandemic,” he said.
“When sporting clubs seek sponsorship, it’s always hard.
Bigi called on the players to train hard and play well to develop their skills.
