Top officials to umpire

 FIVE International Softball Federation-accredited umpires will take matches at the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby.

The Australia-based umpires will join their PNG colleagues at the July 4-18 event as part of long-term relationship between the PNG Softball Federation, Softball Queensland and Softball Australia.

They will bring a wealth of international experience and this will be a great boost for local umpires and regional officials, who will help run the softball competition.

National chief umpire Peter Chalapan said it would be a boost to the local fraternity to have some of Australia’s best umpires helping softball managers at the Games.
