Town turning into cattle farm

Letters

GOROKA Town is becoming a ‘cattle farm’.
At one time, it had a reputation for breeding pigs at the main market and goats at Faniufa.
Now it has gone a step further in babysitting beasts. Calls made on social media and the dailies have gone unheeded by the town authority who don’t have the stamina to remove these cows roaming around town.
Recent comments made by the Goroka MP to clean the township looked promising but to date nothing tangible has happened.
The Goroka town authority and the MP’s office should do something tangible to remove these animals.
This behaviour of breeding animals that have the potential to cause injury to people is a hazard and should be removed immediately.
The police should use fire power on these cows. An investigation should be carried out to determine whether the owner of these cows is breaking farming laws and acts in the country.

Give Up,
Goroka, EHP
