THE Vision City trade exposition has attracted thousands more customers to the mall in recent days, says marketing manager Maureen Esta.
“We have seen dramatic increases to more than 10 per cent of daily footfalls, mainly due to the contributing factor of the expo,” she said.
“We have brought quite a number of businesses located outside of Waigani and housed them under a roof for everyone’s convenience during this period.”
Mall manager Anderson Ting said the average number of shoppers and people who visited the mall on a normal day was 15,000. This increases on big days like Independence Day or a big festival or sporting event next door at the Sir John Guise Stadium or during the expo.
Esta said she had checked booths and was very certain most were doing good and very well for some.
“Others are getting good sales every day like CHM, Mark’s, BS Mart, Uni Book Shop to name a few,” she said.
“Holiday Inn, National Finance and even Wintop Investment that is selling CCTVs collected more queries than expected. 2K Medical Centre has pooled a huge crowd never before seen in a health booth with unexpected numbers of public curious and concerned about their health and wellbeing.
“It’s a good sign that people are exposed early to the benefits of having simple medical check-up for early detection.
“A healthy citizen will contribute to a healthy nation and we assisted in providing a platform in achieving some awareness.”
Shopper Sandy Mundi, who visited 2K Medical Centre booth, says people get carried away sometimes and forget about their health status.
