Truth is suppressed

LEADERS of Papua New Guinea, why is it that the truth is suppressed so much that the people are bounded and kept in captivity by lies and deceitful acts of a highly educated and learned few?
How long will we live through this type of leadership?
What is wrong with telling the truth and shaming the devil?
I quote the Bible which tells us nothing but the truth.
The book of Proverbs 12:17 says ‘When you tell the truth, justice is done, but lies lead to injustice’.
Then there is John 8:31-32 ‘So Jesus said to those who believed in him, if you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
These a powerful Bible verses which is very relevant for our situation right now.
