THE United Nations (UN) Women in PNG is continuing to conduct awareness on the Covid-19 by distributing hand santisers.
Members were at Lae Market last Friday to hand over 500 hand sanitisers to the market management.
UN Women Behaviour Change campaign and advocacy assistant Jeanette Ila said preventative measures were important to prevent community transmission.
“We (want) to help you make the market a safe place for everyone buying and selling,” she said.
She thanked New Zealand and Australia for their support in providing the hand sanitisers.
Ila said youths from the city’s Sanap Wantaim programme would help in conducting awareness at the market.
Market manager Sine Tabaray said the Covid-19 was here to stay and thanked the organisation for the help.

  • Yes, we need to be aware and be prepared physically but we must be spiritually prepared as well. Please go home sit and read the 4 books of the gospels of Jesus Christ and the action of the apostles how they act to get sickness out of their ways. I am encouraging us to take time consider our personal relationships with the Lord Jesus and be prepared for Heavenly destination.
