Uni students get subsidy funds

 MADANG students attending the University of Papua New Guinea received more than K40,000 over the Independence anniversary weekend from local MP Nixon Duban.

Madang Open MP Nixon Duban had committed K1 million to subsidise school fees for Madang district students in various tertiary institution in the country.

“I encouraged you all to refrain from illegal activities and put your academic priority first,” Duban said.

He said students now attending  institutions should know that education was very important and they must be guided by the by-laws and guidelines to achieve their rightful purpose they are being for.

Duban urged the students to must work together with him.

UPNG Madang student’s representative Cyril Iwap acknowledged Duban’s support.
