United Church’s outreach misison

MEMBERS of the Men and Boys Ministry of Gavuone United Church in Abau, Central, are on a week-long outreach mission to Alotau, Milne Bay.

Some of the men had their wives travel with them. They travelled from the village to Boroko United Church in Port Moresby last week, where they spent two days before leaving on Sunday for Alotau.

They will spend over a week in Alotau, mostly based at Lelehudi congregation in East Tawala Circuit of the Papuan Islands Region of UCPNG.

The group thanked Abau MP Sir PukaTemu for assisting them in paying for their tickets (one way to Alotau), as well as others who assisted in other ways in the cause of their trip.

They will return by sea transport to their home village from Alotau.

They thanked their fellow villagers living in Port Moresby, especially from Gavuone Urban Fellowship, for providing food during their short stay at the Boroko United Church hall.

More than 50 people were part of the trip.
