A RUGBY league club in Port Moresby has thanked Lae Biscuit Company for presenting some of its products to their players.
University of Papua New Guinea’s Human Resource Management Rugby League team received cartons of Snax Instant Kimichi flavoured noodles and Pawa Energy drinks this week.
Head coach Glen Mola said it was a huge boost for the club for such a big company to support them.
“I express our gratitude and heartfelt thank you to Lae Biscuit Company for this generous support,” Mola said.
“It may be a small (donation) but it means a lot and for the club, it is a motivation to the players as we are two weeks out of the regular season of UPNG Rugby League Competition.
“Lae Biscuit Company has a very good track record of developing sports in our country and I believe this is part of their brand and value as a company to have positive impact in our communities,” Mola said following the presentation this week.
Lae Biscuit Company is the major sponsor of Lae Snax Tigers and former Toti Lae City Football Club.
The company is known for its influence in developing rugby league players, building a formidable partnership with PNG University Technology students in Lae.
Some who graduated into the Hunters system are West Tigers centre Justin Olam, Jokadi Bire, Warrington Wolves Rodrick Tai and Robert Mathias.
Mola said a similar pathway would benefit UPNG students.
