UoG selection unorganised

Letters

THE non-school leaver’s selection process at the University of Goroka (UoG)is in disarray.
Firstly, the non-school leavers list was released in January.
Applications closed last August and while other universities published their non-school leaver lists last October/November.
UoG waited until January.
Secondly, the offer letters are still being distributed in February.
One of my dependents received her letter on, Jan 29.
Thirdly, they advised, in the same letter, that they want us to pay 75 per cent of fees by Feb 21.
Offer letters are very important in securing fees from potential sponsors, including financial institutions.
The above points clearly show that the officer responsible for student administration at the university needs to be replaced as he/she is unfit to set and meet realistic deadlines.
