Updates needed on water project

Letters

THIS is to inform the National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) to investigate the Birango water supply project in wards 1 and 2 of Timbari village in South Wiru local level government, Ialibu-Pangia, Southern Highlands.
The project proposal was submitted between 2014 and 2016 NGCB under the community benefit fund programme and funding was approved.
We were told that a sum of K300,000 was appropriated for this project, however, the project has not started.
Some officers who claimed to represent NGCB visited the project site, but there was nothing done.
We were surprised to learn about the project being funded by NGCB.
Timbari village is one of the remote villages in Pangia.
We do not have access to most government services.
Development projects are discussed by the community before implementation.
This wasn’t done for the water supply project, which raises concerns.
We need an explanation on this.

Wiru Kiri,
Pangia
