Using tech improves service quality

THE Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loans Society (NCSL) is using technology to enhance its customer service delivery, general manager Vari Lahui says.
“Having a nationwide membership of over 92,000, the society continues to turn to technology to enhance its customer service delivery to its members,” he said.
The Biometric Identification System (BIS) service has been installed in all the NCSL branches.
“The BIS service has become an effective and popular service delivery channel due to its real time application,” he added.
Member Services manager Robert Thadeus said the system was effective and useful.
“This channel has taken care of the queues in the client services chambers in all branches. With this service, a member does not need to wait to be served by a NCSL officer,” he said.
Thadeus said members who wished to capture their finger prints on the BIS system must present their NCSL or Nasfund identification card for registration.
“Through NCSL we continue to provide a savings facility for not only education or school fees expenses but for other immediate financial commitments as well. Today, NCSL is the largest savings and loan society in terms of membership here in PNG and the South Pacific. Its growing membership stands at over 92,000 with contributors ranging from infants to 65-year-olds,” Lahui said.
They have representation through Nasfund branches in Alotau, Bialla, Boroko, Buka, Goroka, Kavieng, Kimbe, Kokopo, Lae, Lihir, Lorengau, Madang, Mt Hagen, Popondetta, Port Moresby, Tabubil, Vanimo, Wabag and Wewak.
