Vaccine awareness crucial

NATIONAL pandemic response deputy controller Dr Daoni Esorom says that the increase in Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination is the best way to ensure that the health of a family is protected.
Dr Esorom said in a statement, that the Covid-19 ministerial vaccine taskforce visited the New Ireland health authority from March 12 to 16 to learn about its successes, challenges and experiences in managing the Covid-19.
The taskforce’s objectives are to ensure that 60 to 80 per cent of health facilities with functioning Cold Chain Equipment have Covid-19 vaccines by this month.
They must also have Covid-19 and routine immunisation vaccines.
He said that after this month, integrating the Covid-19 and routine immunisation would be a key focus for the vaccine taskforce.
Dr Esorom urged people to protect their families by getting fully vaccinated at an authorised vaccination site.
