Vehicle shot, police escape unharmed
BY SYLVESTER WEMURU
KIMBE police station commander Snr Insp Daniel Yangen and four other officers escaped unharmed after the vehicle they were travelling in was shot at on April 26 near the Kumbango plantation outside Kimbe town.
West New Britain police commander Chief Supt John Midi told The National that the incident happened between 2.30am and 3am while the officers were patrolling the area.
He said fortunately none of the officers were injured with the bullet hitting the back window and passing through the front windshield.
He said Insp Yangen and his men had been on a routine patrol during the curfew and were returning to town when they were shot at.
Supt Midi said police were investigating the incident.
“I cannot accept what happened to my officers who are working hard to make sure the province is peaceful and quiet during the state of emergency. They could have been killed,” he said.
“We should all appreciate what the police personnel are doing and respect them.”

Everything happen for a reason.
But some police officers always take Law into their own hands while no one is superior to the Law.
I thought the Police Personals were invincible but I thought wrong

It all developed from peoples frustrations SOE has affected peoples lives, while few have advantage
