THE Mendi Muruks had a day to forget after being comprehensively out-played by the Port Moresby Vipers 44-12 in their second home match of the season yesterday.

The Petroleum Resources Kutubu-sponsored outfit fell victim to what was easily one of the Vipers most polished peformances of the Digicel Cup season so far.

With the halftime score at 16-8 to the visitors, the home fans, some of whom were vocally behind the Stop N Shop-backed side, witnessed their side get out-scored 28-4 in the second 40.

For the Shane Morris-coached Vipers, the past two weekends have been a fruitful Highlands expedition with a  win over the Enga Mioks (19-14) in round three and now a clinical effort to see them entrenched in the top four.
